Privacy, explained clearly.
Effective 17 August 2026
KitchenCup helps organizers run pickleball tournaments. This policy explains what information we handle when you organize, register for, or view a tournament.
Information we collect
Organizer accounts may include your email address, organization details, and the tournaments you create. Tournament registration may include a contact email address, player names, division choices, partner preferences, and notes you choose to provide.
We also process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request timestamps, browser and device information, approximate location derived by service providers, error diagnostics, and security events.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, operate registrations and tournaments, send transactional messages, show schedules and results, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve KitchenCup. We do not sell personal information or use it for personalized advertising.
Public tournament information
Organizers control whether a tournament is published or unlisted. Published tournament pages can show information such as player or team names, schedules, scores, brackets, and standings. Contact email addresses and registration notes are not intended for public tournament pages.
Cookies and analytics
KitchenCup uses local storage for essential preferences, including your analytics choice and organizer session information. These are needed to remember your choices or keep you signed in.
Google Analytics is optional. Before you allow analytics, analytics storage is denied; Google may still receive limited cookieless signals such as consent state, timestamps, user agent, referrer, and coarse request information. If you allow analytics, Google may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits and sessions. Advertising storage and personalization remain disabled.
lets you change your choice at any time.
Service providers
We rely on service providers to host and operate KitchenCup, deliver email, measure optional analytics, and report application errors. These currently include Railway, Google Analytics, Sentry, and the configured email delivery provider. They process information under their own terms and only for the services they provide.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. We use access controls, encrypted connections, scoped organization access, and operational monitoring, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can decline optional analytics without losing core KitchenCup features. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. Tournament participants should first contact their organizer about registration or public tournament information, because the organizer manages that event.
Questions and changes
For privacy questions, contact the KitchenCup team through the email address in your account or tournament communications. We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change; the effective date above will show the latest revision.
